 Swanenburg Property
A 16-acre recreational facility is proposed for the Swanenburg Property, adjacent to the Chester Valley Trail on Swedesford Road in western East Whiteland. The proposal includes two baseball fields with overlaying soccer fields, a softball/Little League field, playground equipment, basketball courts, multi-use paths connecting to the Chester Valley Trail, a sitting area, a picnic area with pavilion, parking facilities, lighting, restrooms and a concession building. | |
 Valley Creek Park
The 35-acre Valley Creek Park on Route 29 will receive improvements totaling $409,000. Half of the project will be funded by a county grant approved by the Chester County Commissioners.
Proposed improvements, some of which were completed in 2006 include resurfacing parking areas, lighting, an amphitheater, completion of the stone dust walking trail, restroom and pavilion renovations, a multi-piece play structure and a new picnic area. | |
 Ecology Park
PennDOT, as part of the Rt 202 section 300 project has completed stream bank stabilization at the Conestoga Trail Ecology Park. Stream bank stabilization will mitigate erosion and sedimentation along both sides of the Valley Creek stream.
The park is located on Conestoga Road (Route 401) across from the Township Municipal Building. |
