The Highway Division’s duties include patching potholes and erecting street
and regulatory signs. They maintain retention basins and storm sewers, remove
fallen trees and limbs from roads, clear snow from roads, spread salt and
abrasives for ice control, clear rights-of-way and easements, street sweep and
maintain Township buildings, vehicles and equipment. The Highway Division is
responsible for approximately 42 miles of Township roadways. The Highway
Department also is responsible for park maintenance at all Township properties.
This includes mowing, tree and shrubbery care, as well as care of related
equipment maintenance, and baseball and soccer field maintenance.
