The East Whiteland Volunteer Fire Association — with mutual aid provided by the Malvern, Paoli and West Whiteland fire companies—serves East Whiteland Township. East Whiteland Township provides State Certified Firefighter/EMTs to supplement the day-to-day operations within the Township. These Firefighter/EMTs assist the volunteer firefighters to provide quality fire, rescue and emergency medical services to our community.

 Fire Marshal

The staff of the Department of Codes & Life Safety enforces all of the provisions of the adopted Fire Prevention Code. The department receives applications and fees; it then issues permits in accordance with the Fire Prevention Code. The fire marshal’s staff inspects premises for which such permits have been issued for compliance with the Code. The Fire Marshal staff is also responsible for investigating the origin and cause of fires in the township. Township residents are reminded that in accordance with Clean Air regulations, no open burning is permitted in the township.
