Governor Wolf and PA Secretary of Health, Dr. Rachel Levine, have issued four new mitigation efforts due to the rise in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in the Commonwealth. The new mitigation efforts include the following:
- Protecting Our Health Care System (Memorandum issued to acute care hospitals outlining expectations to care for Pennsylvanians who need care during the pandemic)
- New Traveler Testing Order (Order issued requiring negative COVID-19 test 72 hours prior to entering PA or mandatory 14-day quarantine when returning from other states)
- Strengthened Masking Order (New order strengthens masking order issued April 15th to include increased mandatory mask directives)
- Recommendations for Colleges and Universities (Departments of Health and Education issue recommendations for colleges and universities to implement a testing plan for when students return to campus following the holidays)
