Emergency Management

The East Whiteland Township Disaster Management Plan has been developed under the authority of, and in accordance with, the provisions of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Service Act.

Purpose

The purpose of the plan is to provide the maximum protection of those persons who live, work or travel within East Whiteland Township in the event of a natural or man-made disaster.


Decision Making Responsibility

In the event of a disaster, the overall responsibility for decision making within East Whiteland Township rests with the Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors may declare a local emergency upon finding a disaster has occurred or is imminent.
