East Whiteland Township's Finance Department is responsible for the collection, recording and investment of all revenues due to the Township from all sources as well as the disbursement of funds in compliance with the annual budget, as approved by the Board of Supervisors.

Finance Records

East Whiteland Township uses the accrual basis of accounting and maintains financial records in conformance with government accounting standards (GASB). Township financial records are audited annually by Certified Public Accountants, who issue audited financial statements that are available for public review. The Township's current appointed auditor is Maillie and Company. The Auditor General's Office of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and PennDOT also conduct audits of specific Township records, relating to the Township's use of state funds.
